From Homeless to Yachtmore!: 2020

I am a Czech mathematician, economist, and adventurer. During my PhD studies in Economics at New York University

I decided to quit an apartment. I always felt that spending half of my scholarship on an apartment - a place to crash over the night - is somewhat uneconomical. I chose to challenge the concept of an apartment as the only way to satisfy one's need for sleep. I spent three months living in the parks, beaches and rooftops of NYC while studying and teaching at NYU.
